The Challenge
A Recent Project involved the supply of Smoke Ventilation Mimic and Control Panels for the Marshes Shopping Centre - Dundalk. System Controls also had to assist with the design and commissioning of the panels as a request had been made to reduce cabling costs between panels.
The Solution
A specification was agreed on after a few meetings, when all the issues had been addressed and all parties involved understood what was going to happen. System Controls designed the system incorporating a BMS system to send enabling information between control and mimic panels via a four cable comms cable.
The Results
This solution in particular drastically reduced cabling between each panel from 30 cables to just one. The Initiative shown by System Controls to provide an answer to a particular problem using the experience and knowledge gained from our other services enabled us to provide an effective solution.
