The Challenge
Whilst there are many challenges facing every job the major challenge we faced with Almac was to carry out calibration without disconnecting the monitoring sensors from the CYLON BMS Monitoring system, which archives graphs of all sensors to prove conditions as per Federal Drug Authority requirements.
The Solution
System controls had several meetings with those responsible for calibration and services at Almac and agreed Sensor ranges and tolerances and time scales for each visit. Under our ISO Standard 10012 for environmental monitoring of temperature, humidity an pressure equipment we carried out an inspection using our UKAS Calibration equipment on all sensors and were also able to validate the BMS readings to calibration equipment readings.
The Results
System controls met the objectives of this project and worked within the given parameters. System Controls demonstrated in this project the capability to work in a pressured environment and deliver a solution within strict parameters .Presently System Controls is responsible for the calibration of over 500 items of monitoring equipment at Almac
